The Science Behind Protection
First with the Concept of Bi-Layer Technology
Introducing the first Bi-Layer material to meet the new I.E.C. standard (IEC 61331:2014, ADOPTED FOR PPE/CE LABEL, SEPT 2016), based on the lab guidance note from July, 2016 and adopted by the Notified Bodies in September, 2016.
The new Xenolite Strata + (300 series) has passed all testing to the stringent, new, European standard (PTB-Braunschweig, Germany).
Designed for Comfort
A high-tech plasticized elastomer matrix is used to support and encapsulate the attenuating elements. Developed by Dow-DuPont, this elastomer is:
It is comprised of components that are often found in running shoes and vibration pads, which gives the elastomer a comfortable drape and fit.
Easy on the Environment
Another benefit of the Strata+ is its environmental impact. The lead-free material that it is made from is not “cross-linked” (or “cured”), thus making it a fully recyclable product that can also be thermally re-processed. It can be disposed of as a non-hazardous, non-toxic waste in municipal landfills.
Like all XENOLITE® products, the Strata+ is fully compliant with global governmental regulations and is developed with proprietary technology, which allows for greater control over quality and standards compliance.
Lite Tech guarantees that the XENOLITE® products are backed by a thorough and vigorous testing process that meets the stringent world standard IEC 61331-1 (both 80 kV and 100 kV). The Strata+ has an area-weight of 6.2 kg/sq m for 0.50 mm Pb equivalence (50-110 kV), and offers 0.50 mm, 0.35 mm and 0.25 mm protection.
The safety and satisfaction of Lite Tech customers are paramount and therefore, all x-ray aprons are covered by a two-year warranty against defects in the core materials or workmanship.
